Things were calming down here until I got another call from NYC. Same place that offered me the job. They want to see me again. My stomach sunk! It was Tuesday mid day, so on Wednesday I take off to meet with them on Thursday. I also went to Hunter College on 25th street to find out about taking some classes to complete my medical technology degree. After Hunter, I walked to the train and the station was closed. I had to take a bus and made it to Cornell on time to put on my blazer, change my shoes and wash my face.
I get there and everyone is all smiles. As it turned out, they forgot to tell me that I was supposed to meet with one more person who was not present the day of my interview. So, I meet with her, everything went well and they now officially offer me the job. The position hasn't even posted yet so I have to wait and also I need to have my license on hand to begin. It looks like I will start work early June. Now I can look forward to relax during the month of May and not worry about a job.
I still worry if I will have enough money to live in NY, but I guess other people make it with lower pay. I see a lot of sacrifices ahead, but we can live with one car, no premium channels on cable and a smaller apartment. Things start to look up and the rest will follow. I miss not having a house but at the same time I feel free. Looking forward to a great job, a kid in a great school and many surprises on our new adventure.

It's a miracle
Thursday came and I went to my interview. Almost didn't make it with the subway stopped down there, but made it on time. The first two people I interview with didn't know me, but it went well. The third person knew my work and was very pleased to hire me on the spot. So, I woke up Thursday unemployed and went to bed employed. Begin work in a few short weeks to take time to do the drug testing, paper work, etc and then is off to NYC, back to the train, but employed. It has being a journey I wish I could forget, but is there to stay. I, for sure, have learned a lot from this. It looks like my job is going to be very enjoyable, I get to go back to school and learn a lot. Yahoo!!! More for my resume in case this happens again. Hopefully not!
